Stine Goya - Project

As a Color Theory project, we were tasked with selecting and researching the work and trends of a designer, then using that insight to create a color palette for a future season.

Stine Goya as a brand thrives on bold color, print and texture, with palettes and collections inspired by the intersection of fashion, history, art, and culture. Their palettes and textiles often have very specific inspirations such as Swedish artist Moki Cherry, the opera Aida, and ballroom culture.

With that in mind and research into their past palettes and color trend predictions, I created Hallucinations - a palette for Pre-Fall 2021 inspired by the artwork of Yayoi Kusama.

Hanna Andersson - Project

As a Textile Design project, we were challenged to choose a company to create three textiles for. I chose to design for Hanna Andersson and drew inspiration from the company’s Scandinavian roots.

For my textiles, I looked to various eras of Swedish design: 18th century weaving, mid-century modern Kilim rugs, and modern interiors. The result was predominantly hand drawn motifs that combined traditional Swedish woven imagery and stripes with the minimalism of Scandinavian design.

The final three textiles include an allover floral print, a greenery inspired stripe, and a second, more traditional purple stripe.
